360° Virtual Reality panoramas, also
called QTVR panoramas, spherical panoramas, virtual tours
and virtual visits, allow the viewer a virtual presence at
any remote location and are fully interactive and immersive
360° rotational photographic views of that site. Multiple
360° VR views can be linked together to form a Virtual
Tour, and with the addition of multinode maps and directional
sound they can give the viewer an enhanced immersive experience.
Virtual Tours can be used for a variety
of purposes including architectural projects, museums, heritage
sites, hotels, luxury yachts, scenic travel tours and educational
/training purposes, in fact the list is endless.
360° Virtual Reality panoramas
can be viewed using either the QuickTime plug-in or Java viewers
and incorporated into both website and CD-ROM projects using
Flash, Shockwave, HTML or other packages.
To view any 360°
QuickTime panorama, the QuickTime plug-in has to be installed
