Bob Masters started his career in London working for Christies International Auctioneers as a member of their in house photographic unit covering all departments which included Fine Art, Furniture, Classic & Sportscars. He became a freelance photographer in 1986 shooting still life, people and editorial imagery for advertising, sales brochures and product catalogues. In 1998, he became interested in the emerging technology of 360º Virtual Realty panoramas. He began to investigate the potential for this medium and to learn the techniques of how to shoot and produce these amazing and fully 360º rotational panoramic images. Now, using manual and fully automated panoramic tripod heads and an array of stitching, retouching and programming softwares he can provide high definition 360º VR panoramas and Virtual Tours. These offer an engaging and fully immersive experience to the website visitor and are ideal for amongst other things, hotels, tourist, cultural and heritage sites, industrial installations and aircraft, ship and car interiors. He has won Epson International silver and bronze awards for his 360 degree panoramic work and a Addy Bronze award for his work with Jim Palam & Partners in California, USA.
Since 2000 he has been based in Barcelona Spain.
His multinational clients include: British Petroleum, Qatar Airways, MasterCard International, Danish manufacturers Bang & Olufsen, Deboer Estructuras España focusing on large tented structures and flooring. United States International Westin Hotel chain commissioned him to produce 360 degree panoramic views of Madrid to be used as a online sightseeing guide for their hotel guests. Since 2006 he has worked for the Catalan Governments Department of Culture to produce a unique 360º panoramic pictorial archive of the regions most significant architectural and heritage sites.
For his corporate clients he can offer photography for annual reports, business portraits and full conference coverage, working in a wide range of situations from the boardroom to the shop floor, interiors to exteriors and from location to the studio.
